GUERRILLA FARMING / UNA NOTTE COSÍ
concept / direction / post-production
A man is running to survive, a mass of people is chasing him. They want something, maybe his briefcase, maybe his life. What's so important to him? What's so important to them? No matter, dog eat dog at the end.
It's always fun to challenge myself on independent band's music video productions. Time and budgets are not always by my side so ideas needs to run simple and quick. Song lyric try to warn the listener about bad decisions that can drive your life on a strange path. It talks about sins that changes lives. So what's better than greed to define man's willingness to power.I started to think about a karma wheel in which a forbidden fruit is forced to pass by hand in hand in an infinite circle of violence. I decided to represent this idea in a simple an concrete form: a man trying to escape from an horde of people chasing him. I wanted a unique long take to film the scene, the framing to be very closed to the actor and I wanted the atmosphere to be surreal. Once found my main actor, the extras and the right location matching my needs I went on with the production. Half a day of shooting closed in a car boot with a very nice driver and a willing crew did the rest.
